Dear Parents and Family,
I am very pleased to introduce myself as your child’s new sixth grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. Sixth grade marks an exciting, yet sometimes challenging, time when students make the transition from elementary to middle school life. My class is intended to help guide students through this social, emotional, and academic transition while engaging them in a student centered cross-curricular classroom. I am looking forward to working with you, and I am eager to help your student prosper in my class.
A little bit about myself...I graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Global and International Studies and received my teaching credential from California State University Channel Islands. I enjoy reading science fiction novels, eating spicy food, and traveling.
My hope is for our continued communication to help your child learn and grow. If for any reason you would like to contact me please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. You may call the school at 805-641-5165 (ex. 2035), please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I am able to. I am available to talk in person before and after school most days and would be happy to schedule a specific time to speak with you should you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you in advance for all of your and your student’s hard work in my class. I am looking forward to a successful and engaging year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gaeta
